Do you like to drive? Lots of people love to go on long road trips but most don’t have what it takes to get into the Guinness Book of World Record for Highest Mileage on a Vehicle. Irving Gorden is what you would call that sort of guy for he holds the Guinness World Record for the highest vehicle mileage on a personal car. You could say he was a traveling man!
It may be hard to believe, but Mr. Gordon holds the record with over 3 million miles on his 1966 Volvo 1800S!
How did he do it? He drove approximately 100,000 miles per year in his car, visiting what else, but car shows!
There is no arguing the fact that Mr. Gorden loves to drive and he has the World Record to prove it! Irving was interviewed shortly after he set the record and detailed the maintenance of his vehicle, saying that he changes the oil every 3,000—3,500 miles and changes the transmission fluid every 25,000 miles.
Now, that is dedication!
